2021 begins with activity on over 30 sites in 4 countries

2021 has got off to a flying start with activity progressing on more than 30 sites in 4 countries:

ZAMBIA The first phase of 20 Mini Hospitals in Zambia was completed and handed over the the Ministry of Health in Q4 2020. Construction of the next 10 units is nearing completion with current activity on 30 sites. More than 2,400,000 man hours have been worked on site without a lost time incident (LTI), with our trucks covering more than 280,000km since the start of the project. 312 shipping containers have been sent (equivalent to a line of containers 3.8km long) in 169 separate shipments to Zambia, some as large as 29 containers.

GHANA Construction activity continues and is planned to accelerate on the next 3 District Hospital sites at Fomena, Kumawu and Takoradi.

COTE D’IVOIRE Site preliminaries and groundworks have commenced on the first 3 of 6 District Hospital sites at Bouaké, Boundiali and Katiola.

ZIMBABWE Site preliminaries and groundworks have commenced on the first 2 Health Clinic sites at Stonebridge Township, Harare South and Cowdray Park, Bulawayo.

Working from 12 offices in 10 countries, the NMSI team was bolstered by 28 new starters in 2020 and, supported by rigorous H&S plans and procedures at all offices and on all sites, operations have continued in spite of coronavirus restrictions.
