Côte d’Ivoire inaugurates ultra-modern Bouaké Regional Hospital
On Monday, 28 April 2025, Vice President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné officially inaugurated the new Bouaké Regional Hospital Centre, a state-of-the-art Level 2 facility built on a 10-hectare site. With over 150 beds and cutting-edge medical technology - including advanced CT, MRI, and neurosurgical systems - the hospital is now one of the most advanced in West Africa.
Joined by Health Minister Pierre N’Gou Dimba and other dignitaries, VP Koné hailed the quality and modernity of this new health facility, emphasizing the hospital’s central role in transforming healthcare access in the Gbêkê Region. With a capacity to serve over 800,000 patients annually, the facility offers comprehensive services including maternity, paediatrics, neurology, surgery, and dialysis.
Minister of Health Dimba said that this major health infrastructure project supports the government’s Regional Poles of Excellence in Health (PRES) initiative, aiming to ensure universal, equitable healthcare across the country.
This project was built and delivered by NMS, with the support of UK Export Finance.
